my life is changing everyday, every possible way.

The energy of the cosmos is surrounding you. All that is needed is a certain emptiness in you. So the emptiness is good; don’t fill it by beliefs, don’t fill it again by another kind of god, another philosophy, some existentialism. Don’t fill it. Leave it clean and fresh, and go deeper. Soon you will find from both sides, from outside and inside, a tremendous rush of energy, a tremendous rush of consciousness. Then you disappear, you are almost flooded with the cosmos. You are so small and the cosmos is so vast. You suddenly disappear into it, and that disappearance is the ultimate experience of enlightenment. Then you know you were neither an outsider, nor an insider; you are one with existence. Other than oneness with existence, nothing is going to help you. But that oneness is so easy, so obvious. Just a little relaxation, just a little turning in — not much effort, not much discipline, not much torture for yourself.

“A word or a look can send any of us into hysterics,” says drummer Stella Mozgawa. “It really is a band of goofballs. It’s a nice contrast to how serious the music is. There really is too much to laugh at.” (via Eugene Weekly : Feature : 3.31.11)

“So, yesterday evening I went to see Warpaint in Oxford.
IT. WAS. BRILLIANT.
They must have performed nearly every song they had in about a 90 minute set, (but to be honest I wasn’t timing it, I was too enraptured).
One of the best parts was that when one song finished it seemed to flow into the next one, so it seemed like they were doing one big jam session. Another good bit was how they seemed to be having fun and actually enjoying themselves while playing. So many bands I’ve seen look like they’re playing because they’ve been told to, but Warpaint were different. They really get into their music and it makes it so much better to watch. There were little bits too, like Jenny kissing Emily, and Jenny rocking out all over the place with her bass. They also all broke out into some random song about how good it was to be there or something. Stella also has the cutest wave.
The absolute best bit however, was the encore. First Emily came back on by herself and played Baby on her own, and then all the others came back on and they performed Elephants (probably my favourite Warpaint song) which must have been almost 10 minutes long, which Emily said was ‘your chance to go wild and rock out, no-one’s judging you’. Needless to say, I did.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant.
PS, I bought a t-shirt which I’ll post a picture of me wearing when I find my webcam”
